Your first complete session.
Governor Circuit Full-Body Recharge
Bring your device setup together with Dr. Tennant’s Governor Circuit protocol. Learn to prepare your equipment, follow the illustrated patch connections, select the program, and finish your session.
For owners of current-generation Tennant BioTransducer® and Tennant BioModulator® devices who have reviewed both setup lessons.
Gather your supplies ↓Have everything within reach.
Gather your devices and the approved accessories before beginning the guided session.
-
Tennant BioTransducer®
Have your device charged and ready. Follow the charging instructions for your version.
-
Tennant BioModulator®
Have four matching 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries installed and the battery cover secured. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
-
Electrode patches & leads
Have four manufacturer-approved electrode patches and the matching lead wires ready. The placement guide will identify each red-tip and black-tip connection.
Need to revisit device setup?
Before continuing: Review the BioModulator safety reminders and the complete precautions supplied with your devices. Follow your licensed healthcare professional’s guidance. If you need help identifying your equipment, contact the Tennant Health team before beginning.
Your guided session
Follow the session, one step at a time.
Explore each step before starting. Choose your BioTransducer position, identify the four patch connections, and review how to run the BioModulator portion of Dr. Tennant’s Governor Circuit protocol.
Read all three steps before using your devices. Follow the precautions supplied with your equipment and your healthcare professional’s guidance. Review the BioModulator safety reminders if needed. Stop if you experience discomfort.
01Choose your BioTransducer position
Seated in a chair
Sit comfortably and position the Tennant BioTransducer® securely between your legs, directed toward the base of your spine, as shown in the illustration.
In Dr. Tennant’s protocol, this is the polarity step. Use the BioTransducer for 3–5 minutes. The device does not need to touch your body.
Choose one positioning option. The seated, lying-down, and overhead illustrations show alternatives. You do not need to use every position.
The BioTransducer portion can be completed separately or alongside the BioModulator portion. The BioTransducer may remain in use during the recharge.
Other positioning options
- Lying down, between the legs
Position the BioTransducer securely between your legs, directed toward the base of your spine, as illustrated.
- Above the head
Hold the BioTransducer above your head, directed down the length of your spine, as illustrated.
02Position and connect the patches
Match each location to its lead.
Use four manufacturer-approved electrode patches and the matching leads. Apply patches to clean, intact, dry skin, following the instructions supplied with your electrode set.
Right and left refer to your own body. Use the front and back views to identify each location.
- Right vagus pointRight upper-chest point shown in the diagram
- Red-tip wire
- Left vagus pointLeft upper-chest point shown in the diagram
- Black-tip wire
- Center sternumCenter of the breastbone, as illustrated
- Black-tip wire
- Lower sacrumCenterline, just above the tailbone
- Red-tip wire
Back placement: Place the patch on the centerline of your lower back, over the lower sacrum just above the tailbone (coccyx), as shown. Keep the patch on the sacrum rather than directly on the tailbone. Connect the red-tip wire.
Check all four locations and their red-tip or black-tip connections before continuing. If a location or connection is unclear, ask the Tennant Health team for guidance before starting.
Review TENNANT mode and timing↓
03Run the BioModulator portion
- Program
- TENNANT mode
- BioModulator duration
- 20 minutes
- Energy level
- Gentle and comfortable
Load the program, then adjust energy.
- Turn the unit on. Slide the power switch on the left side up to ON. Wait until the Tennant circle T logo disappears.
- Open the LOAD screen. Hold the Down Arrow on the right side for 2 seconds.
- Select TENNANT. Use the upper Plus (+) button to scroll through the programs. TENNANT is the universal mode and the first program in the list.
- Release and let it load. The selected program loads automatically. Wait for loading to finish before adjusting energy.
- Increase energy slowly. Keep the level gentle and comfortable. Run the BioModulator portion for 20 minutes.
If the tingling fades: Keep the energy comfortable and complete the 20-minute session even if the tingling decreases or disappears. Do not increase energy just to recreate the sensation. Stop if you experience discomfort and consult your healthcare professional.
The BioTransducer may remain in use during this portion, using the positioning option you selected.
At the end of 20 minutes: Switch the BioModulator off. Follow the care and removal instructions supplied with your electrode patches.
After your session
Finish your session with care.
Once the 20-minute BioModulator portion is complete, switch off your equipment and follow the care instructions for your patches and devices.
-
01
Switch the devices off
Move the BioModulator’s physical power switch to OFF. A dark display alone does not confirm that the device is off. Switch off the BioTransducer when you have finished using it.
-
02
Care for your patches
With the BioModulator switched off, follow the removal, cleaning, and storage instructions supplied with your electrode patches and leads. Use the instructions for your specific accessories.
-
03
Put your equipment away
Follow each device’s cleaning and storage guidance. For BioModulator storage or transport, remove all four batteries and protect the device in its storage case.
Questions after your first session
A few things to know.
Return to these answers when you need a reminder about sensation, timing, or how this protocol fits into Dr. Tennant’s teaching.
If you experience discomfort, stop using the device and consult your healthcare professional. For questions about equipment, connections, or the illustrated instructions, contact the Tennant Health team.
Should I feel the same sensation at every patch?
Sensation can vary between placement points. You do not need to make every patch feel the same. Follow the illustrated locations and keep the energy gentle and comfortable.
If you are unsure about a connection, return to the patch-placement guide. If you suspect an equipment problem, ask the Tennant Health team for help.
Should I increase energy if the tingling fades?
Do not increase energy just to recreate the sensation. Dr. Tennant’s protocol calls for gentle, comfortable stimulation. If tingling decreases or disappears, complete the 20-minute BioModulator portion while keeping the energy comfortable.
If you experience discomfort, stop and consult your healthcare professional.
Do I need to use both devices at the same time?
No. The BioTransducer and BioModulator portions can be completed separately or concurrently. The BioTransducer may remain in position during the recharge.
The guide specifies 3–5 minutes for the BioTransducer polarity step and 20 minutes for the BioModulator portion. Review the positioning options and program and timing instructions when needed.
How does this fit into a daily routine?
Dr. Tennant teaches the Governor Circuit Full-Body Recharge as a daily foundational protocol. Follow the illustrated placements, TENNANT mode, and the gentle, comfortable energy level taught in this lesson.
Follow your healthcare professional’s guidance for your individual circumstances. The next lesson will help you organize your routine and return to the resources you need.
Does this replace the Advance Recovery Protocol?
No. Dr. Tennant’s guide describes the Governor Circuit Recharge as being used in addition to, rather than as a substitute for, the Advance Recovery Protocol.
Follow the separate instructions for each protocol. This lesson teaches the Governor Circuit session.
Before you move on
Review any step you would like to feel more familiar with. You should be able to:
- Choose a BioTransducer position and identify the four patch connections.
- Load TENNANT mode and follow the session timing at a comfortable energy level.
- Switch off your devices and find their care instructions.
